The Project Zawadi Donor Trip is Back!

We are thrilled to announce that Project Zawadi, in partnership with Access 2 Tanzania, will once again host a Donor Trip that will combine a classic safari experience with a special volunteer opportunity this November 27-December 10, 2022.

The journey will start with a wildlife safari through Tanzania’s greatest wildlife parks including Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. To the west of the Serengeti lies Project Zawadi’s partner community of Nyamuswa. It is in this rural community that you will be part of the English Bridge Program.

For the last several years, Project Zawadi has been conducting the English Bridge Program for students in the Nyamuswa area who are transitioning from primary school (Standard 7) to secondary school (Form 1). This six-week intensive course is held at four local schools with English teachers leading conversation and comprehension lessons designed to prepare students to better face the English language challenges and give them a leg-up for success in secondary school.

A specialized English Bridge curriculum has been developed with our staff and volunteers. Travelers on the Project Zawadi Donor Trip will have the opportunity to support the program by participating in daily conversational English sessions. Our staff and volunteers will have specific lessons prepared for members of this travel group. The travel group will also be hosted in country by Project Zawadi’s Executive Director and Founder, Brian Singer.
