Give from Your IRA (Qualified Charitable Distribution)

Give from Your IRA (Qualified Charitable Distribution)
If you are age 70½ or older, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) — and it can be a tax-free gift.
What this means:
- You instruct your IRA administrator to send all or part of your QCD directly to Project Zawadi.
- The amount given this way is excluded from your taxable income.
- For donors who have reached Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) age, a QCD can count toward satisfying the RMD requirement for the year.
- For 2026, the QCD limit is up to $111,000 per person.
How to make a QCD:
- Contact your IRA custodian (e.g., Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard).
- Request a Qualified Charitable Distribution payable directly to:
Project Zawadi
Tax ID: 06-1629249
253 Duke Street, St. Paul, MN 55102
- Let us know so we can thank you appropriately.
